Dear Hassan,
We can't thank you enough for the delightful evening we spent with you
and your wonderful family and the wonderful dinner to which you treated
us. Not only was the food delicious, but we appreciated the
opportunity
to experience Moroccan dining in Moroccan fashion. Although we dined
on
traditional cuisine while in Morocco, we never realized that we were
doing so in American fashion, always with a plate and fork. We
enjoyed
learning from you that it is polite to eat with bread and fingers.
The
opportunity to experience some of your culture pleases us greatly, and
we are most appreciative.
Our friends enjoyed our slides of Morocco. You are so familiar
with
that country that seeing pictures may not interest you; however, if you
would like to see them at some time, we would be most happy to invite
the three of you to our home for a showing. We would not presume to
serve a Moroccan dinner, but would offer to serve something we feel more
comfortable in preparing.
Again, we thank you for the hospitality at your home, the lovely dinner
at the Casablanca restaurant and a most interesting evening chatting
with you and Aicha (and spending time with the baby).
Warmly,
Jan and Walt
