Letter from Bill Horne.
Dear Hassan,
Happy New Year's to you. We still remember our
most enjoyable trip to Morocco with your company. Can it have been
almost two years? I do hope that Americans do not avoid the pleasure
of such an interesting Moslem country because of the recent terrorism.
I treat many war veterans who have reacted to these tragedies and the
subsequent war in Afghanistan.
I will probably be seeing Carol
Mukhopadhay, a fellow traveler, again at a music festival in Northern
California in February. We had a
interesting evening of slides and discussion with a colleague of her's, an
anthropologist from Berkeley, who is studying Berber women's tattooing
patterns and practices. She reports the new king is giving more
freedom to speak Berber, etc. Please give my regards to
Abdulkader "Haj", our driver, and to Abdullah Mouhsine, our
guide. I hope they prosper, as well as you.
Bill Horne
